It feels nice and private but town is just a few minutes down the mountain if you need anything. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and was stocked with all the essentials. The deck and the hot tub are very peaceful and private, and there's also a screened in section if the bugs get too bad. I spent my mornings having coffee and reading on the deck, and our group spent a lot of time grilling, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing cards at the table.

Reminded me of a much smaller-scale version of the huts up in the White Mountains, only much more personal. Lisa and Scott's "Cabbin" was a wonderful place to stay for our girl's weekend getaway. While the "Cabbin" appears small from the outside, it is surprisingly spacious on the inside. Also, there were fabulous homemade jams for breakfast.

Jerome happened to be in town that weekend and treated us to good advice on local hikes and home made cinnamon rolls. We would escape back here again. We have no problem sharing bathrooms, but if you do, I believe her third room has a private bath. The peafowl add a touch of exotic regalness -- the males were in full feathered finery during our visit, and we were lucky enough to see a couple of complete tail displays!

We loved sitting outside watching the peacocks and playing with the kittens. The entrance to skyline drive is really close by making this an ideal location to begin or end a visit to Shenandoah. If you're looking for seclusion along with convenience to markets, restaurants, wineries, and Skyline Drive, there is no better place. This house is huge, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and was perfect to accommodate our family. A quick 5 minute drive into town and 10 minutes to the river which is exactly what we needed.

The pictures don't do this property justice! It's a wonderful cabin with amazing view of the valley. The large windows allow you to soak in the view morning, noon and night. It's very secluded, yet within minutes to wineries: Fox Meadow Winery and Linden Winery both served nice tastings- worth a visit! Great little weekend getaway! Chris and Steve are great, responsive hosts, and have included many thoughtful touches.
For a mountain cabin, place has great amenities! Chris and Steve's home was absolutely beautiful! They were very kind, attentive and helpful. My family had the best time at their home! Beautiful setting, the pictures don't do it justice. Immaculately clean and they have anything a cook could ever need. I had a great stay at Rainbow View. It is truly beautiful, with a newly renovated kitchen that overlooks the Shenandoah valley. The hot tub is impeccable, and you can see the valley from the hot tub.
The neighborhood is rural, although other houses are close by, but the house feels private. The beds are simple but comfortable, as is the bath. The location is close to great hiking and only an hour or so from D.
I will definitely come back. This cabin is private, well stocked and has great views of the valley. Everything is well labeled which made our stay effortless in terms of knowing what we could use and how to use features of the property! Loved it, will plan another trip in the future.

We began our adventure with meeting Chris upon check-in who wanted to ensure us if there was anything we needed just to call, as they were close by. Upon stepping into the cabin and putting away our items we realized that we had forgotten smore ingredients essential to any fire for any season!
Luck had it that these items were on hand along with quite a bit of spices, hot chocolate and zip lock bags. Next, we noted the wonderful laminate notes explaining where items were at, labeling where ashes went, directions for front royal va singles everything, along with a mystery switch.

The potbelly stove was warm and charming. We ALL thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Especially after the many hikes we took through the Shenandoah.

Chris and Steve thought of it all and made our stay unforgettable. We are so grateful and will visit again! We had an amazing time at this home. We were looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains, and we couldn't pass up this listing when we saw the hot tub. Everything is in it's right place, and on the off chance you can't find something the welcome binder will tell you where to find it.
We are already planning to come back to enjoy this listing again in the warmer weather to take advantage of the hammocks and the hiking. What a great stay! The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and appliances, and the space was a great place to hang out and relax. One note, the stairs up to the bedrooms are a bit steep, so we had front royal va singles carry the dog up and down. It wasn't an issue for us, but depending on the situation is worth noting. The inn is a beautiful, clean Montpelier style home, and we slept so comfortably in our Crabill room king-sized bed. Wifi is also included. The food prepared by chef DQ was absolutely fantastic.
Biscuits and gravy, French toast, eggs, steak and arguably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. They even packed us a lunch for our hike in the Shenandoah Valley! It's hard to oversell this place.

We were lucky to be their first guests. Booking the place was a breeze and Dq and Megan were very helpful with check-in times and offering us a dinner with the chef. We were in town for the Appaloosa music festival and my girlfriend and another friend who couldn't camp out chose to get another room Saturday night.
Dq is an exceptional chef and we couldn't have asked for more of dinner and breakfast; we'd definitely recommend the chef cooked meals. The rooms themselves were very thoughtfully appointed; everything we needed and then some were available. They have an adorable dog and it really is a wonderful front royal va singles to spend a day or a week if you're in the vicinity. Felt like a home away from home; we'll be going back. Dq's place was newly decorated in vintage style. The beds were very comfortable.

Too bad we didn't make the trip in the springtime, the view of the green trees from the hot tub would be amazing. I really appreciated that Tom got back to me and excepted our request so quick. This large cabin was the perfect home base for a low-key bachelorette weekend in the woods! It more than comfortably slept all 9 of us, and Tom was so prompt to help with any minor snags we encountered. The hot tub was perfect, and everything was well stocked and clean. Even the hottub was super clean! Just little things like, laundry soap, tin foil etc that were left here even though we didn't use any was comforting in case we did need them.

The common space is great for games and tv and it has a great secluded mountain house feel. Check in and out were as easy as can be and the place was clean and comfortable.

The home is located off a gravel road that was a little rough during the heavy rains, but our SUVs seemed to do fine! I think the best part was being just a short drive down the road from our favorite winery, Fox Meadows.

Absolutely loved the peacocks and scenery, as well as the conversation and kindness! Petsy was a great host with a lovely home! The house is in a great location about ten minutes away from town and from the entrance to Skyline Drive. There was an outdoor porch space with views of the hills in the main picture, and our plaid room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Petsy made us feel very welcome and we very much enjoyed the stay!
Petsy's home is wonderfully nestled into the Shenandoah hills. It's great for starting your Shenandoah NP experience at the northern entrance Front Royal is approx. We stayed at the "Plaid Room", which was very spacious and nice. The bathroom was very clean. Petsy itself is a wonderful person, who puts much effort and joy into being an Airbnb host.
Very good experience overall. We had a great stay in Petsys home. The room and bathroom were very clean. The location was perfect we loved the spectacular view and the peacocks. We would definitely stay here again. This house was wonderful! Conveniently located with regard to the events we had that weekend. It was clean, roomy, and comfortable. Considering it is a condo, the house is surprisingly quiet! And I thought it was a nice touch that John left breakfast out for us! He was very responsive and accommodating. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I would recommend this house to anyone! Nice house in a nice area. Hosts could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Johnny was a superb host and the setting was very peaceful. From the nice breakfast items to the local tips for hiking, everything was great. Even though it is a townhouse, there is a beautiful view out back and a nice deck to enjoy a meal outside or just relax.
